Hello
I am currently in China but very interested in Burma. I cam across a website (Bangkok)that claims they can get an emergency visa to enter Burma in 48 hours. Does anyone know anything about this? Accepted practice and trustworthy?
Thanks

Bangkok has a Myanmar Embassy and issues visas to travel to Myanmar for work, tourism, and spiritual/meditation. Each has restrictions of duration. You can show up and line up early in the morning and have a visa by afternoon usually. It might take another day. New Dehli also can issue visas but you drop it off one day and pick it up the next day..hopefully.

Dear Weldonc -

What type of visa did you apply for on arrival? Was it a Business visa or a Tourist visa?

The process involved with obtaining a Business visa on arrival has required a letter in advance from a Myanmar business, copies of that business' Certificate of Incorporation and 2 copies of your passport photo page dsigned) and 2 recent colour passport-type photos.

Were you able to get a visa on arrival with less paperwork hassle than described above?

Regards,

usually i get a business visa and now have a 6 month multi entry, you need a letter of invitation for that, but the tourist visa is easyto do also. my opinion is to do it in bangkok at the myanmar embassy it's easy there too,
