Rente here are very high and Golden Valley is probably where rents are the highest. $800 will not go far there. But if you are willing to look elsewhere there are rooms available. For example, I have a 2-storey flat with 3 bedrooms and am paying $800 per month, though I think I was a bit lucky..Good luck with your search, Reinhard

thanks . . . I don't need such a spacy apartment, Reiner, 'cause I will be here for 8 months only . . . but meanwhile found a hotel for 900 per month which I will most probably use. But I'm still looking, because the hotel is in Bohtahtaung - so a bit far
