Hi guys I am Australain. I have a Thai registered motorcycle. Next year I would like to ride it from chaing mai Thailand, through Myanmar and in to India and back again. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has done this or knows about the legal requirements for visa and import /export of motorcycle. Regards david

This sounds like a big adventure.... yes, you can get visa at the border crossing into burma. It is $30.00 for 30 days. You can stick a $10.00 bill in your passport, and they may just give you the visa... Make sure you have an INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS LICENSE and INSURANCE.. so you can travel
freely. If you can, find a local biker to travel with, as it is not safe going solo.. there are many murders every year at the border areas... especially when you stand out as a tourist/foreigner...
