My husband and I are moving to Toronto next September. We will have all paperwork etc as this is a job transfer for him. We will be looking to rent accomodation (preferably a house) over there. Can anyone tell us about the best locations etc for renting? Any other tips would be most helpful as we have never been. Thanks in advance. Janette.

" Hi Janette! I am originally from Canada and the Toronto area although I am now in Hong Kong. I would need to find out more info in order to give you sound advice. For example, where is the employment? In the downtown area, Mississauga, etc? Also, what type of residential area do you prefer? ie. older neighbourhoods with Victorian homes or new homes in suburban areas. Finally, are you willing to commute to work? There are several bedroom communities within one hour of Toronto. I can tell you that the Beaches area of Toronto is quite nice as this is where I used to live. As the name implies, it has beaches on the shore of Lake Ontario. It is very close to the downtown area and it has a nice small community atmosphere.
