" I am an American who may be landing in Montreal after a series of overseas assignments. This time, however, my company wants to coerce me into a local package...i.e get paid in Canadian $$, and kiss my 401k type-savings plan good-bye. I make @ 60,000 usd, but will likely need to pay for a child in school. possible mortgage, but definate rent, likely car payment etc.... I need some amnunition to go back to my management with some real-life issues and probable associated costs. Any info you can provide about car costs in Canada Vs.
