considering moving

my dad and his wife live in Ontario, they have been there over 10 years, over the years we have considered joining him.
it would mean moving my husband and children but due to this countries decline & other issues im now seriously considering it,
my children are twins of 13 and son of 20, I have spoken to them all and they would love to join grandparents.
I am currently a child minder and have a level 3 qualification in child care, also im a qualified optical technician although not done that since twins were born! my husband is a lorry driver, but my dad has said he could sort him an apprenticeship as a vehicle technician, our eldest son is currently at university in his 2nd year for degree in physical education so only has a year left,
what would be our best route of moving? my dad has said we can live with him initially until we are settled, we do have savings of about 20k, we live in rented house at the moment so wouldn't need to sell, the big thing for me is I had cancer 2 years ago, although im now cancer free I do have regular hospital appointments to check this, would this make any difference to our move?
any advice would be fantastic
thanks
tracy

Tracy- check cic.gc.ca It is possible for your father to sponsor you. You have to become. A Permanent Resident and get a social insurance number. I sponsored my wife which I had to commit to support for two years. You can't jet a job without a SIN number. I will send you later a government job listing and you can check out the city where your Dad lives
I'm originally from Chicago & immigrated in 1968

I am not so sure your Father can sponsor you at all. You are not a 'dependent child under 19' and I am not aware a grown son/daughter can be sponsored. Nor can I find anywhere on the GIC website that suggests you can be sponsored.

What's more, even if you and your husband were to apply for PR status on your own under the Skilled Worker process, your 20 year old would not be your dependent and would probably have to apply on his own for PR status.

My advice is to have your Father (if he is willing) invest a little money in paying a Canadian immigration lawyer to look at your situation and provide advice. A couple of hundred dollars up front will probably get you a much clearer picture of where you stand.

OP Canadian Immigration lawyers @ $200 p/hr and up. There should be a way to get a working permit visa & it should be on that crazy cic.gc.ca website. Keep navigating it. .
