Yup, it seems they crashed the Immigration website.

Express Entry is determined by eligibility. Those with the highest scores get an invitation. See Step 2, here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/
As higher scoring entrants enter the system, lower scoring entrants get pushed toward the bottom of the pile.
So if you haven't already received an invitation to apply...........

divagirl - Women have a huge advantage over men in the job market. Americans welcomed, but not really liked unless they take on Canadian values and accent. Canada welcomes minority groups. They love showing off their political correctness. This is how they show America that they are morally superior. You can find work easy. Most direct route to Permanent Residency is marry one of the really fine and romantic Canadian men. Most of the websites are full of guys just wanting sex since most Canadian women have streaks of misandry and men chill to the thought of living with that. Some Canadian women are very confused with the difference between manipulation and love.

I imagine this will all level out soon enough. And since I am from a different country I may be looked at differently.

Canadian Immigration doesn't care what country anyone is from. What they care about is what you have to OFFER Canada.
Stop wasting people's time and answer 2 questions. Have you applied for a Visa? Yes or no? What did you score on the EXpress entry questionnaire online?
If you won't or can't answer those 2 questions, you're going nowhere.

OldPro - the waiting period is quite different from Nationality to Nationality. Do you believe there are no hidden quota guidelines for different nationalities? Having worked for the Federal Government, I am no fool. Hidden agenda's abound. Public Works manages my pension and they have imposed illegal sanctions on my Survivor Benefit contributions that no matter how many request for information I send them they say "just call" as they refuse to put anything in writing to me. I can't use the Privacy Act to find out what's in my case file until I am back in Canada. I stand to loose about $40,000 - what did they tell me when I elected for a survivor benefit for my wife? I "could get a full refund at any time for any reason", Now they say they can keep all my contributions if my wife precedes me, "that's why no one elects survivor benefits anymore". They call that a "sunset" on financial policy that has unpredictable risks. My mistake was not getting what they told me in writing. They resist furiously putting anything in writing. Obfuscation is their mantra. Many believe the hype about how clean and politically correct the Canadian government is. Wait...what about the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada? Three generations of child abduction, residential school brutality, sexual assault on children by priest's and teachers, providing TB infected blankets to kill them, stealing their land and resources: Similar things happened during my stint in government, i.e. smoke and mirror financial arrangements to cheat millions of benefits from Aboriginal people in BC. Why? Finance departments like it. Most of my shop viewed a lot of po_n on their computers during office hours and took many extended lunch and coffee and cigarette breaks to shop in downtown Vancouver. Saying "No" to everything makes your job easy. Never meeting the client makes it safe. So I believe your rosy, squeaky clean picture of Canada by just looking at the media surfaces. Dig deeper. It gets uglier and smells like puke. Canadian mining companies? Canadian stock exchanges? Canadian Banks? Oh Canada, the most taxed country in the world, the one with the most laws. I'm not knocking the many good aspects of Canada, like the health care. Even that has it problems if you have to stay in hospital beyond three days. The City of Nanaimo managers earn $140,000 per annum to over $200,000 managing a town of 85,000. I managed 136 different Aboriginal communities in the back country mostly without any support staff. I earned less than half of what City of Nanaimo managers get. Canadian complacency and laziness is quite obvious to any newcomer. They always can get the jobs that Canadian's don't want since it would mean they would have to exert themselves. Of course there are also the superior "Investment Class" looking down on all the hard working stiffs like those in the construction industry. Ask any new arrival if they think Canadians are lazy. When I arrived 50 years ago, I was constantly confronted by Canadians aobut why I should get my job over a Canadian. My response was always, "I will work harder and smarter than a Canadian". This is what new arrivals must know too: xenophobia is alive and well in Canada. Ask any East Indian, etc.

Standupguy, this thread is not a platform for you to air your personal issues which have very little bearing on the OP's post beyond the first sentence you wrote.
I would also suggest that you learn to write in paragraphs. There is a reason they exist. They give you a means of organizing your thoughts and make it easier to read.
Meanwhile, back to the topic, let's see what Divagirl replies to my 2 questions, if anything.

OldPro - Sometimes personal experiences are the ones that are most meaningful since they are real.
I am on other xpat blogs, and that is certainly true there. No Old Pro's there knocking personal experiences.
This platform is to provide a realistic narrative about Canada. Positive and negative.
I will be more careful to chunk my thoughts, experiences and facts about Canada in future.
I hope you took notice of the fact that Canadians are racists like everyone else particularly when it comes to the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada.
You want to lecture me? I find your post like boring tourist commercials for Canada.

Meanwhile, ignoring our disagreements on some things for the moment, you will notice standupguy that Divagirl has not returned to answer the 2 questions I asked her.

old pro - My last few posts not appearing. Didn't think I was being so controversial to be kicked out. So just testing the water now. I don't have a problem with our different perspectives and you aren't provoking any angry feelings in me. Our differences provide some contrast. New Yorkers and Chicagoans have the same clash of sorts. I agree with many of your points. Notwithstanding my biases, it's interesting to dialogue with you. If this gets posted, then I know I'm not blocked.

Old pro
I find you to be very negative and not really supportive of my efforts on this site at all. Kindly refrain from responding to my posts in the future.
Thank you Natasha

As I EXPECTED, no answers to the 2 questions asked. I think that tells all that anyone needs to know.
Oh, and, you don't get to decide who does or does not respond divagirl. Being a diva might have worked for you in some things but it cuts no ice we me whatsoever. ROTFLMAO.
