Buying a Car in Chile, 2014

I'll be moving to Chile in a couple of weeks, flying into Santiago for the first month or so.

I'm looking to buy a 4x4 that I can take into Argentina, Peru, and Bolivia. I'm looking for advice on the car buying process, obtaining a RUT number, using an address (if I am not formally a resident and don't technically have one yet), and even insurance.

Found this site for car-buying: http://www2.chileautos.cl/; any other suggestions on places to look?
