" Most of your items should be available in Beijing. I live in Shanghai, so I have only shopped for them here, but in general, the items you mentioned are not at all hard to find here, so I imagine it would be generally the same in Beijing. You will need to find the grocery stores that cater to foreigners, but there are also some big hypermarkets like Carrefour that will have most items. The only one I am not sure about is your frozen yogurt - they have frozen yogurt (there are several TCBY stores as well), but I have no idea what type of sweeteners are in them. Cans of tonic water are readily available, due not to special dietary needs of expats, but rather to our penchant for Gin & Tonics. "

" Hi Larry, I just read your request of different things you want to find in Beijing. Maybe you found what ever you search, I want just to give you some adress of super-market in Beijing where you can find ""western food"". 1) Price Smart is a sino-american super-market where you can find a lot of western food. Please connect you on their site www.pricesmart.com (contact us, China),so you can find their adress. They have 3 shops in Beijing. The best one ist located on the 3th. Ring. But, you must be a member (120RMB per year) If not, you pay only 5% more. You can find also a lot of ""Friendship stores"" in Beijing. They have a lot of western food, but expensif. An other one is the small super-market "" April Gourmet"", located: no 1, Xingfu Sancun North Street, Chaoyang District in Beijing (tel 010/84551245)They have ""only"" western-food and speak very good english. I hope this can help you and I wish you a nice stay in Beijing. I''m living in Langfang (+/- 40km from Beijing) for 2 years now. If you need any help, you can contact me by e-mail ( cerahard@public.lfptt.he.cn) Regards Michele "
