I will be moving to China, possibly Hangzhou by the end of the year. I would like to know if I can bring my current Indonesian maid with me or do I have to apply for a new maid when I go to China. Would appreciate ti if someone could tell me the immigration laws on this?
Thanks.

Seems that Expat house helpers are exempt from local employment laws and ex pats are able to bring existing househelp from abroad. We have just employed a filipina.
She is here on a regular visa, not working visa. You may want to check the exact local requirements in Hangzhou.

Dear Mike,
Thanks for the info. I would like to ask if your Filipina maid is on a dependent visa? What do you mean by regular visa and how long is that valid for?
You can email me at marinam@bnm.gov.my
Thanks Marina
