SHEKOU/SHENZHEN rental costs

I am considering a move to Shekou for 2 yrs and I am in need of realistic housing costs for a western style, 3bdrm apartment in a safe environment. I will have 3 yr old, 3mos old and wife.

Western style housing is available, but cost may not be realistic. For example, a 1300sqft, 3 bedroom apartment cost RMB 10,000/month (USD1=RMB8 approx). Our 5 bedroom house with yard is RMB 23000/month.

MOst expat live in Jing Shan in Shekou, but the Shenzhen Golf Club (where we live) is really nice.

Not a direct question rental question Mike but how is the schooling situation in Shekou, we have a 13 and a 15 years old and may be moving down to Shekou soon.
