I will be visiting Shanghai in March of 2003, can anyone suggest a reasonable, clean, and close to everything hotels? Thank you.

The last time I stayed in Shangahi was December 2000 and I paid $5.50 USD a night in a 10 bed dormintory in Shanghai oldest hotel for foreigners.

It is a 5 minute walk from the Bund and next to the Russian Consulate off Souzhou Creek.

It is probalbly remodeled with five room suites going for $50 USD. The going rte for any hotle inchina is still $15 a night for a double.
