Moving to Shanghai

Hi, I'll be moving to Shanghai but I heard that it can be a bit tedious..I don't have any friends in Shanghai and I'm not working there or attending any school. Is it difficult to move to Shanghai without any of these?

I also need to find a place to stay temporarily until I can lease an apartment. Can someone recommend any good hostels? Preferablly around "The Bund" area

Hey!

I will be moving to Shanghai as well in June to work for a very well known large company. This will be my first time traveling to China, let alone living there. I would love to make as many friends as possible upon my arrival. Let me know if you are already there or are still considering it.
