Any Xi'An expats willing to share experiences there?

Are there any expats living in Xi'An? My wife is Chinese and we will be moving there within a year. She has been out of the country for 8 yrs. has family in Xi'An but would like a Westerner's view of life there.

I've thought about it real hard and while I appreciate your concern, I am aware of the oppression of gays in China and gays worldwide who have adopted the Rainbow as their symbol. I have both gay and straight friends and do not judge either by their sexual preference as it is none of my business. However, I use the name Rainbowrider as used in the song by Three Dog Night, "Joy To The World" lyrics-
" ...I'm a rainbowrider and a straight shootin' son of a gun. Joy to the world...." so please be assured of my safety and put your fears aside I am straight.
Now that that issue is out of the way, do you know of any expat community of Americans in Xi'An as was my question in my original post?
