Hi,

I forgot to ask in my previous message, what is the cheapest way to move money out of China to either a foreign bank or a Paypal account?

Is there a way to use Paypal in China?

I have a unionpay card and am with Bank of China. But Unionpay does not seem helpful to me if i want to buy things on ebay.

get to the website of westunion, and you will find the site to transfer your money to the other countries.

Hi Dave,
I always moved part of my salary out of Shanghai with Moneyword (moneyworld.com) in the most safe and cheap way. It worked out always perfectly and they gave me the best daily exchange rate. I went via Standard Chartered Bank Shanghai but it should also work with Bank of China. My contact is Ms. Celeste (email: [email protected]). A very nice and helpful lady. You should contact her and she will explain the procedure to you. Good luck,
Stephan

i stay away from western union except in emergency. also anything that gets a %.

yes china has pay pal accounts.

if its a large amount and one time or just here and there i use the bank.

international transfers pay a SWIFT fee of less then $50
again why it depends on the amount u send if its worth it to you

its safe and secure. i transfer one of my retirements entirely each month to china and some of what i make in china back out when it gets to a certain size.

if cost me less than $50 each time. that's why i say depends on the size.
at small amounts a % is not a lot but can ad up. bigger amounts its better to KNOW your money is safe and worth a little to get it there. just my 2cents worth and preference.

but u got 2 do what makes u feel right and fits your budget. but be aware of using ANY service you personally have no experience with. There are too many scams out there and once its gone you likely wont get it back
