moving to Shenyang! HELP!

So myself and my partner are thinking of moving to Shenyang from the UK to teach English as my friend moved their last August and her life seems amazing, I think it's a great opportunity and would be an amazing experience - but honestly it is terrifying, I don't know the first thing about moving to another country, I struggled moving out to go to University when I was 18.

This is something that I really want but could do with some advice, any help would be much appreciated - how has everyone else got on? Am I making the right choice?
