1; is fair expats there , especially english speaking coworkers, looking for support as would be 1st year-told need this for 1st year ,never taught before. not eng major (geography major) have tefl cert. never in China, also want to avoid pollution and love outdoor mtns, hence acess to Yunan province and wonders.
2: if so any recommendations for companes particularly for teaching adults?
3: anyone taught there , or nearby, assume Lijang is to small even though a million + any help so thnkful. thanks-Kent

I go to Kunming often. Not a lot of English spoken there but for teaching that is not a big problem. The Chinese want their children to learn to speak English taught by American or British native born speakers. Good University there. I have a Chinese girl friend there who teaches preschool age children. I would teach but too old to teach in China.

Marginal! First I was told 65, then told will not hire over 55. I was 80 at the time. But you can always travel and write about it. Or take photos to sell. I love Lake Erhai. And there are some great Digs there. Though my favorite city of all is Shenzhen which is serviced by a direct 30 minute Ferryboat ride from Hong Kong Airport.
