My wife and i are colombians and live in the states for many years. We are moving back to Colombia early spring 2015, God willing.
Could anyone recommend the most economical way to send our boxes to Armenia from Lakeland, Florida?
Please note that that we sold our furniture so we don't have big items.

Thank You.

Good luck on your move. Just a little curious, why wouldn't god want you to go to Armenia?

As a christian i rely on God's will for my life in everything i do. Additionally i was diagnosed with ALS last year so i am completely in God's hands.
My wife and i have already purchased an apartment in the north side of Armenia but if the Lord was to take me my wife still plans to move,

I am glad you were able to answer in a logical way.

Do yo think god gave you als on purpose or do you think it was just an unfortunate luck of the draw. I ask because living here in Colombia for so many years, I see so much misery and sufering that is avoidable. The result of one persons actions, done with disregard for thier fellow mankind. When I criticize or scold people for not considering thier actions, they often say, it is gods will or up to god or god willing.

As you are obviously educated and also worldly, do you think Colombian people really believe that the consequences of thier actions are out of thier hands?

I have been studing the culture here a long time and this is the last piece of the puzzle for me.

Thank you for helping me and anything I can do to help you in your move, just let me know.

I had a lot of things to move, here and back to the states. I used Southern Winds, and in Colombia they contracted with IntraMar. These guys were great.

I have previous experience with ABC Logistics in Colombia. Do not use them.

I moved back to the states as I developed a rare form of leukemia. My overall prognosis is good, and I hope to get back to Colombia at some point. I hope your health stays strong, and you are able to enjoy much time in Colombia. You are in my thoughts.

These gringos who do not know what it means to say "god willing" because america has become an atheist society now. You can not translate to them that Si Dios Quiere is a saying (dicho).

Hi thelocogringo,

No one knows what causes ALS so i shift blame to no one. All i know is an illness that the medical community cannot explain and thus it cannot fix.
I have been a Christian for over 27 years so asking God to heal me is what I'd normally do.

I moved to Rionegro, Antioquia in Sept 2012. I had read many horror stories online about shipping household goods to Colombia. Fortunately, my move to Colombia was uneventful.

I shipped 37 large boxes, including beds, king size mattresses. I used the services of www.xpressnet.co. The cost was affordable and they store my stuff in Miami until I found a finca to rent. Once I asked them to ship my goods, my boxes arrived in 2 days. I rented a large vehicle to transport my goods, picked up my boxes at the airport cargo area and nothing was missing.
