Started in. Armenia.could live in this nice city.bus to circadia.meh.
Bus to montenegro.meh.bus to la tebaida.meh.
Bus to quimbaya.meh.
Bus to filandia.PARADISE..Will definitely return.Really loved that town.
Skipped salento.
Bus to Pereira.very nice city .i rate even with Armenia.earthquakes could be tie breaker.
Bus to la Florida.meh.But las cascades 6km up a poor road was ,sadly, missed.no transportation by 4x4 available in tiny town.
Marsella by bus is a real grind with magnifico vistas but the town is not worth those so many switchbacks.
Bus to santa rosa de cabal.not bad but not special either.
Thermales,or Termales, a short taxi from srdc.FANTASTICO!!
Glorious water falls from high mountain to 4 thermal pools.,resort amenities.soft piano music piped in,a nice respite from the very loud latino beat music heard everywhere else.
Today bus to manizales, and then south to Cali and surrounding towns.
No hostels or low end hotels.
I'm taking my hardships on the busses!
Hard not to love this country once away from Medellin(or bogota for that matter)

We're at the same bus station augie. I am getting on the bus to Salento. We could have coordinated some our travels but we're now heading out in separate directions.

I can say that so far Filandia is my favorite.

Steve,
Before I left I sent you a PM saying we should try to coordinate a bit
Anyway, agree that so far Filandia takes pride of place.
I met a few nice folks who just opened a restaurant on the plaza.
A woman from puerto rico and colombian husband who met in orlando,Fla.
And an elderly couple who were selling a 4 br house around the corner, with a store front.Views out the back forever across the mountain toward Bogota..
Asking 235,000.usd which I am sure would go for much less.
But I am not interested in buying real estate here.

I do not ever get notice of PMs, which is quite frustrating. Especially since we were both doing the same circuit at the same time.
