I´m here on a tourist visa checking things out for retirement. I´ve enjoyed reading other peoples experiences and I´m encouraged that I´ll make a smooth transition when the time comes.
I can tell I brought too many of some wrong things and that
I left some things behind that I need.
So I need information on how to ship some things from here back to the states, mostly clothing and shoes I´ll never wear and that will fit my son.
What is a reliable shipping source from Colombia to US and I need some medicines and supplements and a my video camera shipped from US to here.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Shipping clothes and shoes to son:

Since, per your post, you are here as a tourist, bring the stuff back with you.

If you can't wait to deliver the stuff, contact airline(s) serving son's city.

Decide whether the cost is worth it.

Send a suitcase or well-packaged shipment via air cargo.

Bringing medicines and supplements into Colombia.....

Avoid doing that if you can.

Supplements are widely available in COL cities.

For the medicines, you might pay $30 for a doctor's visit -- much less at some clinics -- and have him give you the scrips, if necessary. Many meds do not even require prescriptions.

Do web research to determine the names of the meds used in Colombia.

Some meds, such as lisinopril, may be hard to find .. and you could ask the pharmacist or doctor for a substitute med.

The original idea -- sending pills from North America to a tourist in COL -- is subject to customs delays and tariffs .. mis-direction .. confusion .. and loss in transit.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I could have been more clear with my post.....I´m here on 6-month tourist visa and transitioning to temporary visa, so not planning to travel to US for a long time.
The medicines and supplements I already have purchased in US, I just need the address of a reliable shipper to get them here.
By the way, NO, it is not true that all supplements and all medications are readily available in Colombia. and NO it is not a good idea to mess with your health by switching meds based on a one time visit to a Colombian doctor.
Its also worth noting that some of the supplements I take are indeed available in Colombia but the price is 2 to 3 times higher than on Amazon.
Again, thanks for taking the time to respond.

You can set up a reposting service, Mail Boxes Etc. Is one option. I ship to a friend in Colombia and it usually takes about 10 days to 2 weeks (using FedEx ground for US portion).

If you are staying in Colombia, you will want to set something up like that. Many places will consolidate packages, let you check your mailbox online and choose what to send, what to discard and alert you to any new mail.

Google "expat mail service" and you will find several options.

I am living in Bogota and purchase from Costco and Amazon frequently. They ship directly to "Colenvia"
Address: 1161 E Altamonte Dr, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, USA
I have been using this service for at least 4 years with no problems. I trust them to keep my credit card information. Shipping is $1 per pound 10 pound minimum, they collect the DIAN Tax according to what you declare as the value. I normally talk with Juan via Whatsapp 407-530-9785

From the time Colenvia receives my items and when they arrive at my home 5 days.

I used to ship things from the US when I lived in south Florida. I used Abecarco (abecargo.com). Fast shipping, good rates. They can also receive goods by the usual shipping methods, UPS, etc,, and then reship to Colombia. Miami to Bogota took 1-2 days. They also have office in Bogota and Medellin. My wife (Colombian) have been vert satisfied with their service, call them for details.
