Has anyone had dental implants here in Colombia? What is the approximate cost? Thanks in advance.

My gf recently had one with our Endodontist and while the cost depends on several factors, her's was 4,000,000 for the implant and molar crown.

A followup on VIsitando's question. Does anyone know if they do the full mouth (on the 4 screws) type for upper and lower replacements?

I've never had third world dental work, in large measure because four North Americans I've known in Nicaragua, Ecuador and Colombia who did have it done finished their recuperation after lengthy hospitalization. Choose wisely.

About 4 years ago I paid 1,500,000 for an implant at Implante in La Frontera - service was very good; that cost included all follow-ups etc.

Not all implants are created equal. And city, location, and doctors will probably differ in price.

At one time my Colombian wife had a estimate of 5,500,000 for all her uppers.
Do not know now, I went to the Dentist a couple weeks ago to get a broken tooth fixed. It was a dentist through our private insurance. The place was old, the equipment old, and dirty. The crown was made by hand with putty or whatevery material they used, in place on my tooth. Never had that happen before. I cancelled the rest of my appointments and will find a clean place with modern equipment. That was the first time using my Colombian medical insurance. I hope it gets better.
We live in Bucaramanga and there is a brand new International Hospital offering all services.
We also have a few friends who are Dental Implant dentists and I could give you names and phone numbers. You can call me on Whatsapp at +57 316 624 0576. My name is Steve
