WHERE IS OUR LOST MAIL?

I hoped things would get better, but no such luck. Once again my mail from Europe has failed to arrive.

Our two European credit cards expired in November 2016 and I emailed my bank to see what had happened. Response: "We sent them on October 4th and we will cancel them and send you replacements by DHL."

Ok, problem solved,,,,,but wait a minute, not really, this has been going on for several years now.

A couple of years ago we had a similar thread on this forum which revealed it was a common problem experienced whenever mail was NOT sent by special courier services, DHL, Fedex, etc. In fact, the conclusion at that time was there must be massive corruption involved in this service, or a massive mountain of "lost" post sitting somehere.

So nothing new; just a reminder to newbies to use DHL, or Fedex if your postal contents are urgent, or valuable.

Remember the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark? That's where all the undelivered Colombian mail is stored. Lol. I use MBE from the US and have received everything but i don't have any advice for Europe sources.

My family member recently mailed a small package it took 2 weeks, with the same carrier 7/25 it took 2 months. Alsays use their tracking system even though that also is unreliable.
Also same family member used USPS to me in Medellin and the contents of the packsge was switched to an identical product of a different color, Bisarre, I had a yellow ruck sack shipped and received a black one, both BREE products from Germany sent from the USA

Mail here is beyond terrible. I ordered a few things on eBay late last year. About half arrived. AliExpress is better because they have their own shipping service so I get all their items, but it still takes 2 months. Ridiculous.

We have been told successful delivery by the Colombian postal service is very unlikely unless the officially assigned postal code is provided in the delivery address.

We use MBE for most mail delivered to us from the US, so we have little direct experience to confirm that's a reliable "difference that makes a difference.".

I can say a delivery of eBay goods from the UK failed to deliver here, long ago, before we were cautioned about the importance of providing the postal code.
