Does anybody know if the Colombian govt. is now requiring proof of a recent yellow fever vaccination before permitting entry into the country? Just heard about it on the Nicaragua forum......thanks........D.L.

I know that is a Colombian requirement for residents and for the US CDU criteria for immigrants into the USA. Never heard or experienced any requirement for tourists into Colombia.

Nope, not required for Colombia. But it's required for several countries in Central America and the airlines won't let you board if you don't have the yellow fever vaccination - but they don't check when you arrive in my experience.

Not related to Colombia, a few years ago I made a nine day trip to Equado from Costa Rica, no talk of yellow fever vaccine until we checked in for the return flight, big problem was that yellow fever vaccination needs to be done 10 days prior arriving and we had only been gone 9 days. . Found someone that gave us certificates at a somewhat higher cost......

While Colombia and wasn't a yellow fever vaccine, you can go to the Red Cross in your area. You can get one with the official stamped verification card (Carnet) for about 60000cop.
