Moving to Costa Rica with a young family

Hello all,

I am currently in discussions regarding a move from the UK to Costa Rica for work.

I have an 18 month old daughter, and my wife is pregnant with our second.

Does anybody have any opinions on moving to CR with a young family? What is it like as a place to bring up kids?

Am keen for any and all opinions.

Thanks in advance.

James

If you are being provided with a work visa, you can legally work, but the big benefit will be if your wife gives birth to a child here and with that will give you legal residency without the need for a a large financial requirements, you should decide to stay.

With that said, raising children here is expensive since you will likely decide to enroll them in private schools which are not inexpensive.

Location, will determine if it is a good and safe place to raise a family
