Are Airguns considered "firearms" & regulated in the same manner?
Thanks,

Air guns delivering a BB bigger than 5.5 millimeters are treated as firearms.

I have one, no paperwork or gubmit involvement necessary. It has the same muzzle velocity as a 22 cal. I have pepper spray and you can also buy a tazer. Armeria Polini; Plaza Via Colon behind Fresh Market in Ciudad Colon. http://www.armeriapolini.com/ Pepper spray and CO2 pistols/rifles. There is another store in San Jose that sells them.

Maybe the rules have changed, but here is an article, http://www.amcostarica.com/041513.htm

5.5 mm is just under .22 caliber. Assuming .177 is A-OK but .22 is not? Most of mine are .177. Would love to have my custom rifles there!
