Is it true any vehicles over 19 years old can not be imported? Thanks in advance, George

At this poit, there is no age limit, but it is being 'discussed'.
'If the vehicle is new or less than 3 years old then the tax percentage will be 52.29% of the value of the vehicle.
If the vehicle is 4 to 5 years old then the tax percentage goes up to 63.91%
If the vehicle is 6 years or older then the tax percentage increases again to 79.03%'

I called a shipping agency and they told me a vehicle ten years or older couldn't be shipped into CR

I would suggest that you check again, with an importer here in Costa Rica.

What was the outcome of importing an older car? Is it still possible? I'm in the same situation and can't find anyone with the same answer.
