My husband and I are 69 and 66. Knowing what you have gone through to make your move to CR, are we too old to consider making that move?

Buenos dias! come on sue if your asking the question then maybe you are?

Age is a state of mind after all, right?

If you've visited often, in multiple locations, for extended periods of time ( not a one week vacation) and during both "seasons" you shouldn't have to ask, you'd know.

Costa Rica is NOT for everyone but I'll happily live out my day's here.

Pura Vida! (mostly)

I will be 69 this Sept, and my husband will be 63. We have been here 2-1/2 years.

Absolutely NOT to old. Lots here older than you.

I know a CR lady in our church that is 95 and had 10 children and has a sharp mind and gets around.

Costa Rican living is healthy if you walk instead of hop in a car the majority of the time and take advantage of all the fresh fruits and veggies instead of pig out in restaurants and eat foods imported from US.

Come on down. If you wish to visit Grecia, Alejuela, one of the greatest places in CR, will be happy to meet for coffee and/or help with the transition.

Read up on Grecia and pull up greciarealestate.net to view possible rentals and sales. And no, we do not sell real estate, it is just where we found our first place here.

suetho,
No, you are not too old!
I'm going to be 63 and my husband is 68 and we applied for Pensionato Residency in October 2015. We got approved in May 2016.
We're very happy here!
My neighbor is 75 and he applied for residency here 3 years ago.
Don't give up on your dream!
Just pray about it!
All the best for you guys!

The majority of those who apply for Residency are retirees or those who have a 'guaranteed for life pension'.

That being said, it helps if you are in good health and can 'go-with-flow'.

Visit, prior to making this major decision.

Too old? Never, I have helped a couple of 73 and 75 him to relocate here, they are renting a nice condo in a beautiful area in a nice neighborhood. They started to work on their Spanish and now they can communicate better with the locals and they are so happy. They still thank me for my help with their relocation.
