My wife and I are considering moving to Santa Elena / Monteverde for 10 months. She would be teaching at a local school. I'd like to find a part time job to make some extra money. I'd be interested in almost anything. Construction, farming, teaching english, etc.
I have beginner level Spanish but am willing and excited to improve!
Any leads?
Is there a of Santa Elena / Monteverde specific blog or facebook group?
Thanks!

Your wife 'should' be in receipt of a work visa to work here legally, and so must you.
A work visa would not be given for the positions that interest you , and would possibly pay approx. $2 - 3 an hr. as it would be 'under the table' so may be even less.

Ckerv, you might find this enlightening?
"People often think that it is possible to move to Costa Rica to work or increase their pension with some form of part-time activity. Working in Costa Rica is not so simple. In general, it must be said, although there some exceptions, you cannot get a job in Costa Rica without first obtaining legal permanent residency with no employment restrictions or citizenship."
