If I have a sustained income stream of between $2,100 and $2,700 a month is it enough to live comfortable in Costa Rica? I am not a "high living" individual.

If I were single, I could live on between $1100 to $1700. That is the truth.

If you don't eat out every night, find a inexpensive home to rent and choose a location wisely, you should manage fine.
Living at the beach tends to be more expensive, though, especially if you use AC which can add many dollars to your bill. Maintaining a vehicle may be prohibitive.

Your choice may be limited though to find a fully enclosed area for your dogs, realizing that you also have to budget for their food and care.
If each dog weighs over 100lb. including crates, they will be very expensive to ship.

Location is key...

Kohl thank you for your reply. My dogs all weigh about 60 pounds each. I know there will be expense to bring them to Costa Rica. My concern is that I will need a place to keep them not only inside my home but also a yard of sorts for them to have their time outdoors. Is this something that is difficult to find, expensive or just does not exist? I don't need a fancy home, just a safe one. I don't plan on living near a beach or expensive area. I also will need dependable internet access.

Check out the weight of the crates big enough for each dog. Once a dog and crate is over 100lb, a broker must be involved and that could result in a $1000 + cost for each dog

You should be able to find accommodations for all of you....but you may have to shop around. We have four dogs. however it is not fenced to keep them in...but we are in a quite. rural area.
You may have to come and find suitable accommodations in advance, then return for your dogs as if they travel unaccompanied, the cost is even higher.

As mentioned, you will need to check out what internet is available and/or included.

Please come and visit first.

I have 6 dogs had many more rescued from the streets here,,BUT in General dogs here are not too popular nor well treated..so many Landlords will not accept them 26 years ago we had to pay a deposit PLUS 1,500 for a place to rent a dump with cockroaches Any wonder I bought FAST here? TRY to find first a Dog Friendly place online (try googling that) but TRY to avoid dangerous areas who will accept anyone and anything... I am such a dog lover and WISH I could mingle another few with my dogs but no way mine are gentle but territorial so tenants I feel bad if I must turn them down.... I will keep my eyes open WHAT is your budget and area?

I would say an unequivocal YES ! but STILL be aware if LOCATION.. beach areas have higher prices as do many "Gringo Gulches" Escazu and Santa Ana especially. and if you are not into the high end lifestyle should be fine...
