Greetings. I have been following this forum for several years now. I have read about requirements to work in Costa Rica, and Inhave read about internet speeds, etc.
My question to the forum today is solely, Are there any members or members that know if expats who are involved in medical coding and billing from home offices in Costa Rica. I would like to talk to those that are involved in this.
Thanks in advance.

This is such a specific question. You should consider posting this in the main expat group on facebook because there are hundreds of members there.

Excellent idea. Not sure if I know about that Facebook page or group. Do you have the exact name for it, please?

I don't know and have not done it. But understanding a little about it, it may be a really good idea, if the hospital or doctor will approve.

From what I have gathered, is that you can't target Costa Rican businesses when 'working on-line'. while in the Temporary Resident status. I had a friend that was a legal resident here, and who did this, but her clients were in the USA,

I would be interested in knowing more about her experiences. The plan is to be on a pensiado visa and working remote from CR for US clients. I am curious about those that do, have tried, or have successfully. Thank you.

You shouldn't have any problems going this route. She had established this business before she left the USA and she went back there every few months.
I, no longer have her contact info. though, sorry.

That's great info. I should be finished with the course by Jan 2018. Not moving to CR for our trial year until retirement in 2021. Plan to work part time and network. Thanks for the info.
