Anyone know if there is a bus that may go from San Jose to the downtown Grecia area. How long might that take?

Yes, there is a bus that goes from the main bus station in Grecia to San Jose. It stops at the airport on the way into SJ, but not on its way back. Grecia has its own bus station in San Jose. Cost is 1030 colones.

About an hour depending on traffic.

The area around bus stations are a little precarious especially if you don't know where you are going. Suggest you take a taxi to bus station if your hotel is not too far away.
