Or do does any one know any expats looking to sell.

I bought my furniture at San Carlos Hardware and my appliances at Monge. If you pay cash they will give you a big discount but you need to ask for it! My husband told them that he was going to Liberia to buy furniture but if they would give him a good discount he would get it from them.They did! Then he said the same thing at Monge.

That's a great tip! I've heard that many things are more expensive in Costa Rica than in the US. I'm moving to Atenas in 2 weeks (with only a few suitcases)! Is there anything I should bring? Appliances, electronics, new clothes?

Lafamilia, My neighbor who also just bought a condo next door had his realtor taking care of the decoration. He says she got some of his furniture from "Do It Center" in Liberia and some from "Ashley". They also had a carpenter doing some stuff!

We had wood furniture custom made in CR - unfortunately that company is no longer in business, but here are some other furniture places in Guanacaste to look at:
