GETTING AROUND CR

My husband & I will arrive on 10/25 to search the area for where we want to live when we retire. we will be staying at an Airbnb in Grecia for a week. We were wondering what would be the best way to get around? I understand that renting a car could be a nightmare as all the traffic signs/directions are in Spanish. He wants to go zip-lining and 4-wheeling for a couple of days in Arenal while there. Are there other forms of transportation available without being overly expensive?

I also would like to meet up with an expat group while in Grecia.

Expats meet informally in Delicias Cafe near the park about 8:30 to 10 or so. My husband and I are there most every day but Wed and Sunday.

You can get to Arenal by bus. A bus to Naranjo and then San Ramon and then to La Fortuna.

Not everyone would agree with me, but I would rather shoot myself in the leg than rent a car.
