I am thinking about moving to Costa Rica. But most regions are too hot for me. I like to spend a lot of time outside. Where is the coolest Climate?

moving into the mountain areas is cooler and at night you can use a blanket. the higher you go the cooler it is.

On the website below, it is stated that Cartago has the coldest climate . It is the area where most of the 'cold weather veggies' are grown, for this reason

Yesterday morning in San José we saw North American-styled winter jackets being worn, even by staff inside a major hospital. Windchill felt like a knife....and this isn't the first time.

high! you do know that the average temperature, year round, for our little slice of paradise, Costa Rica is the low to mid 70's right?

We live at 4000 ft. just north of the Central Valley and the lows are mid to high 60's and the highs low to mid 80's!

No HVAC!

Pura Vida!

Realize that when living at a high altitude 'in any of the mountainous areas' means that you will be likely be living in the mist/fog a lot of the time, not just in cooler temperatures. Also, you will experience rain more often.
