Important info regarding property purchase in Cyprus

Hi
I have just learned that as of May 1 2004 VAT of 15% will be levied on property purchases.

My lawyers are unsure as to how it will be applied whether it will be applied to any outstanding payments on existing contracts or just on new contracts executed from May 1
