We are planning to relocate to Cyprus this year and are going over in May for a week.We would be grateful of any information regarding jobs for my husband, who is a welder/fabrictor, before we go so we know the best places to visit instead of going over blind.
Information on wages would also be helpful as like many of you we have a son who will need to go to an international school so we need to know if we will be able to afford it.
many thanks

Be careful. Skilled jobs are hard to come by here. I have never seen a job advertised for a tradesman and I have lived here 7 years. It is possible that these type of jobs are advertised in the Greek language press, but I would guess that you would have to speak Greek to be considered. Also the average daily wage for a qualified tradesman is around CYP 60 per day. Not much when compared to the cost of living which increases daily.
The cost of Foley's International School in Limassol starts from CYP 2100 p.a. for Reception class ( age 4 & 5) through to CYP 4,500 p.a. for forms for ages 10 to 13. There are a couple of cheaper options but not excessively so. It is a lovely place to live with a great quality of life but it has its drawbacks particularly on the employment side
Good luck
