I am in the process of breaking up with my husband in the UK and thought I would rather start again in Cyprus. I intend to buy a small business and rent a property initially. I need information on everything from schools to childcare work permits and anything else you can think of that could be useful.

my advice is to be very careful. if you want to buy a business here, make sure you get sound legal advice. cyprus has some very very good business opportunities but equally some very very bad ones. there are a lot of brits that have found this out to their peril

don't get me wrong, tere are opportunities aplenty but you need to take your time and suss out everything before commiting
