We've lived overseas and I currently live in the US but would like to move overseas in the next two to three years since I travel overseas much of my time for the company I work for. We are waiting till our last child is in college so we can move more easily. I am interested in Cyprus but wonder about moving there with an income already in place from my company. I prefer to have a residency that allows us to stay in place rather than trying to function on a 3 month in and out tourist visa. Can anyone provide advice. I plan to visit next spring so recommendations for accommodations would be appreciated.

I think that would be difficult. I think its best of you are working for a company that relocated u here. You cannot just get a job like that in Cyprus without being a citizen or EU citizen. If a company hire u without this in the 3 months that u are allowed to stay, they have to proof that no other Cypriot can do the job. Most Cypriots are highly educated. So you have to gain residency. How will u gain residency? You have to be married to a Cypriot or be a EU citizen. Also a lot of jobs aren't advertise here. You have to have connections. There are a number of employment agencies, but the first question they will ask u is....Are u a EU citizen? Also you can contact the US Embassy in Cyprus and ask them questions.
