Advice for moving to Cyprus

Hello

Myself and my wife are looking to re-locate from the UK to the Paphos area. We visit Cyprus twice a year and love it so much that we want to see if its realistic us moving there.

I am a Biomedical Technician for Olympus which basically mean I service and repair medical equipment
thats used mainly in hospitals. My wife is an Area Director for Regus Offices.

We are both in our 30's with no children and are looking for a slower less stressful pace of life.

As an engineer/technician would there be many job prospects for me especially medical orientated?

We are interested in any advice people could give. Employment would be our major concern

Many thanks

Sam & Gail

Hi Sam,

As you have no children why not just treat it as an adventure and come over for an extended holiday to see what sort of jobs are available. There are a lot of private hospitals so you couldstart by going around them to see what the chances are of work.

If you had young hildren my advice would be very different but as long s you don't burn all your bridges in the UK until you know how it will work out here you don't have much to lose.

Regards
Veronica
