I was wondering if anyone else has tried to exchange a US drivers license for a Czech one based on the new law?

" Yes many have now done this and you dont have to give up your US one or wherever its from. Apparently they realised it was ""difficult"" for Foreigners and relaxed a bit. So now its relatively easy as long as you have all the right papers and can spare 2 hours or so in the queue. "

" Exchange of the licenses is one thing and save driving in the Czech Republic [especially in Prague] is another. If you haven''t started yet, or have but not feeling comfortable, the best thing is to seek help from an experienced driving instructor with good command of English. Couple of lessons will make a hell of difference and could save you lots of money. Try to contact Lisca [lisca@centrum.cz] - he''s the one you can trust. "
