Hello everyone.

I am negotiating an offer with a company to work in Brno in the czech republic. My problem is that we are about to come to the salary part, and I have no idea what the salaries are like in czech IT.

Can anyone offer any help?

Thank you very much :)

Hi balaban,

There has been a lot of discussion on this topic on local sites such as the Brno focused The Brno Expats Forum (www.brnoexpats.com) or the Prague based Expats.cz. Use their search engines.
As a general rule I would say:
under 20,000Kc gross don't do it!
over 20,000Kc liveable
over 30,000Kc decent
over 40,000Kc very good.

However it depends where you come from in the world, your lifestyle etc.
Always get salary quoted in Czech crowns net/gross, other benefits etc. In writing of course!
