" Hi, I am moving to Copenhagen in August(?) depending on when my work/residence permit comes through. I have heard from many people that it can be difficult to find apartments for rent in Copenhagen. I was looking for any assistance, advice, tips, etc. that anyone might have. Tak! -Anne "

" Hi Anne, I am moving to Copenhagen in August as well. I have just returned from a 1 month house hunt. After alot of frustration and wasted time, I found an excellent resource. I would recommend that you contact Anemette Krogh Pederson at Home from Home +45 70 22 40 00. The key to finding good rental property is having someone help you with all the details. She charges a fee, but I can assure you it is worth it. Rental contracts and regulations in Denmark are very different than the US. Be prepared for very high prices and at least a 3 month advance deposit. Feel free to contact me with any additional ?s. David Levy "

" Hi David, I too, will be moving to Copenhagen in September/October time (depending how the office sort itself out). I am moving from England (yes, I''m English) to be with my Danish girlfriend, then after a few months of living in her apartment we plan to find a larger place together. I think you maybe right in saying that rental agreements are completely different, not yet having started on this course, I just know we will be frustrated by the time we want to move. If anyone has any more info on this subject, it will be gladly welcomed. Regards Richard "
