Hello, I am a young man from America who began dating a girl from Copenhagen, Denmark a short time ago. I am planning on going to see her in the summer and staying with her for a short time(probably until early-mid winter). I am hoping to obtain some kind of work position to supplement my income while over with her. She is then returning to America to pursue a work in tenrship for herself. I would be interested in getting a websiute name or maybe some other form of information in regards to this topic if anyone is interested or can help in anyway I would be more than happy to e-mail them with more details..Mange Tak

Hi there - Wow - I keep hearing about your kind of relationship (my daughter just finished a semester abroad from the U.S., in Copenhagen, and met a few people who were using the study abroad option as a way of maintaining relationships between Danes and Americans, and a Danish family we know has a son who has fallen for an American girl who was in DK for other reasons . . . ). Here are three links for you to check out - the first would certainly lead you to numerous resources if you click around the hypertext on the page - and the other two are job links. I have seen a few jobs intended specifically for students if that is you - but it would seem they are most interested in students who will stay and make a career with them. In any case - here are the links:

www.stepstone.dk (this one can be also be found - screend for jobs in English - by doing the following 1) go to copenhagenpost.dk (note the last two letters do not go to .com), 2) click on the link for classifieds (at the top of the page), 3) again looking at the top of the classified advertising page, click on "employment". Then click on Stepstone job section. The job ads are in reverse chronological order.

Thanks for the helpful information in regards to the websites for working abroad in Denmark. While most of them were for career oriented oppportunities there were a few on the jobindex website in the restaurant/bartending field(of which I am currently employed in here in the states)which looked promising. If there is anymore information/websites or advice you can give in pertains to this topic please feel free. and once again Mange tak
