Hi there - I probably can´t help too much in terms of which school, which educational path etc. But, as an American living here, I can say that the Danish system is very different, in terms of expectations, among other things. Your choices will largely be shaped (whether here or in the U.S.A. etc.) by yours and your teenagers own goals. How long will you be in DK, if you know? Do you think the kids will go to college in the U.S. or here in DK (btw-"college" means something different in DK and under EU rules, than "university" which is given higher status in some instances). If you expect your children to pursue higher ed in the U.S., then I would suggest you research what the institutions they may want to attend want in terms of students and how THEY perceive the different courses/programs offered in DK. If you think they will or may pursue higher ed in DK (could be financially advantageous depending on your circumstances), then you could contact or visit one of the primary university/higher education advisory centers in DK. One place you could also check is ug.dk (unless they moved the site), this site should be able to refer you to the contact info for the above university or higher ed (vidergående uddanelse) advisory centers. As far as extra curricular things, depends on the above and on what your kids will enjoy. Two nice activities not often found in the U.S. are sailing and kayak clubs. Best of luck!
