Hi,

Does anyone know about the rules and regulations selling real estate as a foreigner? (e.g. can you keep your house if you move outside Denmark? Is there a time limit on when you have to sell the property by?

I have seen a lot of websites talking rights to buy real estate in Denmark for foreigners but nothing about the other way around.

If you are not a citizen, they you pretty much must sell your house when you give up Danish residence. As a non citizen you have to get permission from the government to buy property, and I think these terms will be specified in that agreement. They really do not want foreigners owning properties as investments.
