We're looking to relocate in Ecuador and wanted to find out if there are any affordable houses that are beachfront? We live in Florida and have always have waterfront properties. Our budget is very tight so we don't know if we should build or buy. We're coming with our 2 daughters (9 and 5 yrs old) and our french bulldog. We're hoping to move some time in July. If we cannot get a waterfront property then maybe we can live in a city. We'd prefer a home to a condo because we'd like a yard for the kids and dog. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are many affordable beach front homes, however, there are not so many with schools nearby for your children. That will probably determine where you live more than finding the price you're looking for. It is incredibly affordable here.
