Has anyone had experience with a local moving company? Let's say you find a new apt across town and want to move. Are there local companies for this purpose?

What most people do is look for someone with a truck, ask them how much usually $10 or less, then find some friends, or people who need a few dollars and move. At least in Guayaquil. Ive never seen any actual moving companies here.

That's what we did here in Cuenca, $10 to a guy with a truck, and a bunch of friends to help out.
Just make sure you pack your stuff for a rough ride. We didn't have anything damaged, but would have if we didn't pack carefully.
