Just read an article in the NY Daily news about the 50 most dangerous cities in the world. It's interesting to note that 40 of them are in latin america. It's also interesting to note that three of them are in the usa but none of them are in Ecuador. If you would like to see the whole list it is at www.seguridadjusticiaypaz.org.mx.Press the sala de prensa button and the article is in spanish.Quite an eye opener. It's not so bad in Quito and guayaguill after all

remoore2001,

Channeling my best President Reagan..."Now, there you go again..." I mean bringing up all those hard statistics and facts, culled from extensive empirical research. We'll have none of that. Don't you understand...blind psychological self-deception trumps reality every time. I mean, we can't have you coming around here with pesky facts. Soon, everyone will realize that Ecuador is relatively crime benign and... well...people will come. I mean, they will move here. Perhaps in droves, Then it will just be madness and mayhem. So, let's be clear, you should soon start to hear comments like: 1) No way that you can get your facts...they don't exist; or 2) Were those facts fully blessed by Papa Doc Haramhuru, the local town witch doctor? Because if they weren´t....or 3) Space aliens. I mean, it has to be part of a master alien race plan, where they want us all to congregate around a small country like Ecuador, so the mother ships can more easily identify us and scoop us up. So, please...just be prepared for the responses and if you want to spare yourself the nightmare, quit dealing in reality and facts. We just can't have that here. Now, if you want to discuss the great chocolate chip cookie crisis...the importance of chemtrails to Ecuadorian tourism...or whether "fluffy the wonder dog" will be able to get hygienically enhanced doggy breath treats...then this is the right place. Ummmmmm... yeah...that pretty much covers it...I think I have more or less offended everyone.

ps. In my one ode to sanity in this message, so I am not just stinking up the forum... interesting to note the plethora (yes, I actually said "plethora") of cities in Mexico on the "senseless violence" list. Also love seeing Panama City on that list. Care to guess where the mindless sheeple of the USA are being herded to, even today. Yep...Mexico and Panama. Two countries we still have listed as "Sell" in our global analysis reports.

Where did you come from Hector?Someone who believes in statistics rather than what your nieghbors aunt heard from her second cousins friend.I find it interesting that when someone who has lived here for sometime in other parts of EC and says they don't hear of many problems the people who don't even live there shout them down and say "well i heard".That seems to be all the proof they need.Good luck with your common sense Hector,I don't think it will help you much on this forum

remoore2001,

Ohhhhhhhh...believe me, I have been on this forum a long time. Just haven't spent much time on it lately. So, I know what I am in for...but, you know, sometimes the disinformation on forums is actually only surpassed by the disinformation in the real world. And we all have to live in the real world...the forum thing, purely optional. So, I never let it get to me...lol.
