Does anyone on Ruta del Sol Mates know you, and would they recommend you? It's private for a reason. We had a bad run of not so nice people, and some downright immature, nasty folks in the group who started attacking other group members without provocation, so in order to keep the group as a mutually supportive, positive attitude group, (I'm not the admin so I'm guessing), it went private. So, if you know some folks in the group who can vouch for you as a positive attitude person, it might help. Again, I'm not the admin, nor do I have any role in regulating group membership. Just my observations and a suggestion.

actually the group is private so I can weed out the phishing accounts that want to sell cheap cell phones...

ECUADOR COAST is not ruta del sol...it has much tighter moderation, more information about events and much less drama ... and of course it also has something really different -- real ECUADORIANS! ...yes it is a bilingual page...and folks who actually were born in this country post there too ...wow what a concept!

...and I'm not just a member...so I can say that
