Hello all, any of you purchased health insurance in Ecuador from SAAD or anoter insurer?
If so, details would be great. I wonder what the costs are for a 63 year old male by himself OR, do most of you depend on the medical social security system?
Advise please

The Social Security system is not available for expats unless you are employed or are in business and you have to pay into the system each month.

There are many different insurance plans to choose from and they seem reasonable cost……medical care here is much more affordable anyway……
If you are eligible for Tricare or VA, you can get reimbursed by filing.
